Why is it that when someone decides
To share their pain, their suffering, their agony with the world
There is always one person who laughs at them?
Why is it that when someone decides
To voice how they're feeling inside, express themselves
There is always one person who ridicules them?
Why is it that when someone decides
To do something for themselves, to improve their life
There is always one person who tells them they can't?
Why is it that when someone decides
To say something is wrong and needs to be changed
There is always one person who claims everything is fine?
Why is it that when someone decides
To be just a little different than others, to change their minds
There is always one person who calls them a freak?
Why is it that when people decide
That their world is their own space, their own stage
There are people who refuse to shine the light
Because they are afraid their own space will fade?
After reading [link] by AngelsDemise, I was looking through the comments when I saw someone write, "LOL, very funny story. Thanks for the laugh." And it made me so made that someone had the gall to laugh at this other person's pain and (if you read their comments) venting, that they could actually say that. It's not like they even had to, it was a comment that they actually, apparently, needed to say to this person. Why? Why can't people just play nice with others, even if they don't give a shit about what they're going through? It's not like everyone doesn't have their own thing going on in their life, but why do we always, always, have to laugh at other people's misery? It makes me sick, I hate it when I do it and I even make an effort not to, so why do we do it? To make us feel better? I don't get it. The world is twisted. Or maybe humans were just made this way.
