I kind of hate reading love stories. After I finish them, my heart swells up with a rush of emotions that I've never really understood. I feel.. bubbly, happy, and sad. Like nothing in the world could possibly go wrong. Because, with an ending like that, there's nothing that could make things bad. My heart is beating fast and my I feel light-headed. But more than anything, I'm just plain wistful. I think about my past and I wonder about my future. I wish on the stars and gaze at the moon. I lay in bed and I dream about dreams. But it's not the same as the real thing.

Gah!! So, I have completed the first two days of my senior year. And it's SO awesome!! I cannot even begin to explain how that first day of school felt to me.. Getting to walk into the orchestra room for Sterling Strings was amazing. Getting to play as a part of the Sterling Strings was even better. Knowing that I get to do that every day for the rest of the year is such a dream come true. From there, going to Journalism and getting to tell the new people that I was the Centerspread and Backpage editor for the paper made me feel accomplished, like I was pretty damn good at something at least. It's weird to think about it, those years that stretch on before me. A few years ago I told myself I would think about it later, and yet later is already here. I have to decide what I might want to do with my life and it's just.. weird. Lately I've been telling myself that I would become a high school teacher for english or music, but someone said something to me that opened up entirely different choices. I could be a journalist, or a photographer for some newspaper. Or just a photographer in general. Or work for something like the National Geographic and get paid to go places and take pictures.
